What are some fun game modes for Strategy games?
Periculum Demo » Devlog
I have added some really enjoyable and unique game modes to my Strategy game, like Battle Royale where the map dissolves slowly over time (hex tiles vanish after each round).
Still, I am trying to think of many more fun and unique game modes to add. If you (you - reading this) have any suggestions than please comment below I am very open!
Current game modes:
- Default: Whoever is the last player who owns a hexagonal tile wins the game.
- Capture the Flag: Capture enemy flags but don't lose your own flag or you will lose the game.
- King of the Hill: Hold the hexagonal tile in the middle the longest to win.
- Economy: Be the first player to collect a chosen amount of resources (decide between Gold, Wood, Stone, or Fish).
- Conquer: The first player to conquer a defined amount of hexagonal tiles wins.
- Regicide: Every player starts with a king, which he can move around but if the king is lost, the game will be lost too. The last player with a king left will win.
- Battle Royale: With or without loot scattered around the map which can be collected by a player. The map shrinks over time until only 1 hexagonal tile remains. Whoever owns the last hexagonal tile wins the game.
